Episode Transcript
[00:00:00] Speaker A: Welcome, family, to another powerful episode of the Discover Life podcast. I am your host, Eli Hidalgo. And today's message is going to stir your faith like never before.
It's called Faith that pushes through.
[00:00:15] Speaker B: Push.
[00:00:16] Speaker A: Let's go. I've got with me today Minister Lewis.
[00:00:19] Speaker C: Yo, what's up, everybody? God bless you.
[00:00:22] Speaker A: And Pastor Axel.
[00:00:23] Speaker D: Hey, everybody. Good to be here.
[00:00:25] Speaker A: And our leader, Bishop Hurston Gonzalez.
[00:00:27] Speaker B: Hey, everybody. Thank you for watching. Do me a favor. Share this episode.
[00:00:32] Speaker A: Together we're going to explore how to stand firm in the midst of life's storms and push through every trial. Because we serve a God who is able to do exceedingly and abundantly above all that we can ask or think.
Are you ready?
[00:00:48] Speaker D: Let's go.
[00:00:49] Speaker A: I want you to open up your hearts wide because what we're about to share will transform your perspective and rekindle your hope. Let's start the episode.
[00:01:00] Speaker B: It's.
Let me start today with a story, guys, that I shared just a couple of weeks ago.
But it captures what faith is all about.
Imagine a house engulfed in flames, and a young boy is trapped on the roof. The fire made him run all the way up to the roof, and now he's up in the roof. His father got downstairs, and his father's on the grass, and he's looking up at his son, and he's shouting at his son, son, you have to jump. I'll catch you.
But the boy is overwhelmed by the black smoke and the fire and all of the darkness, and he's afraid. And he yells back, dad, I hear you, but I can't see you.
His father fully aware that if he doesn't jump soon, he's going to be in a lot of trouble.
He says to him, son, all that matters is that I can see you.
Trust me.
Eventually, the boy gets so afraid, but the flame is starting to get closer and closer to him that he says, okay, dad, here I come. And he jumps into the darkness, into the flame, and through the fire, safely into his father's hands, and he's rescued.
This story is a powerful story. It's a powerful picture of the faith that God wants us to have.
Now, you guys know that faith is just like that, especially when the house is on fire.
We hear God say, trust me, and we say to him, I hear you, but I don't see you.
It is a huge exercise in faith when you make the leap, when you jump off of the burning roof and trust God for the rest.
Today, I want to challenge you. Are you willing to take the leap of faith even when you can't see the full picture.
[00:03:36] Speaker A: My God. The title today is Faith that Pushes Through.
Let's explore how to develop this kind of faith that puts us through every obstacle. And I'll be honest, our faith is tested daily, but today's Word will help us to stand strong.
So what is God really telling us here?
You know, that when we meditate on the Word and we get instructions from God, God is the one that's going to lead us into our path. So in other words, we will trust God because what he says is true and he's always wanting to point us in the right direction.
Right. So when Joshua was about to lead Israel into the promised land and the land filled with giants, fortified cities, and fierce enemies, God's instructions was clearly Meditate on his Word continually. Why?
Because the Word is our divine blueprint for victory. Right.
[00:04:34] Speaker D: Pastor Axel, when you say the word meditate, you think like, oh, I'm going to relax. But to get to that point, it's, It's. It's the difficult part.
[00:04:42] Speaker B: Well, to me, I'm either like, fully awake and then I meditate for three seconds.
[00:04:50] Speaker D: Because the hardest thing. The hardest thing is really to shut down everything else and to meditate on what God is telling you to meditate.
And meditation isn't just about reading. Like. Like, we all think I'm going to read and I'm going to meditate on it. It's about internalizing the promises of God, speaking them out loud, declaring them over your life daily.
When you're. When you're planting seeds of faith that will grow into mountains, moving belief. So it's. It's powerful. And I think when. I don't think it happens from one day to another, I think it's a consistent thing that you do daily, that you become better at it.
[00:05:33] Speaker C: That's the thing.
[00:05:34] Speaker D: Because that's our goal, right?
[00:05:35] Speaker A: When we get to that point of meditation, like, it's, like, hard to just shut everything down. So in the part of meditation, I think your. Your mind races and you're thinking, you're saying, how do I shut this down?
[00:05:49] Speaker B: You know?
[00:05:49] Speaker A: And I think that's where he tells us to go to the Word. Because as soon as we start going into the Word, it kind of brings us to this place of peace, and it settles our mind and gives us the opportunity to really concentrate on what God is saying. Minister Lewis, what do you think?
[00:06:03] Speaker C: Well, so there's a book that, that, that bishop had recommended me one time. My wife and I read it during our time away once. It's called the ruthless elimination of hurry. And the reality is that in this life it is hard to meditate on anything because we're so caught up with the next thing we have to do that we really don't give full attention to one thing. And actually, in one of the chapters of that book, it talks about the dangers of multitasking. Because multitasking, though, you feel like you're getting a lot done, a lot of different things done. The problem is that no one thing ever gets full, full attention. And when you're meditating on the Lord, it requires full attention. It requires the rejection of every other thing in your mind and a full attention on just who he is. How can you truly meditate on the Lord if you have other things in mind?
[00:06:49] Speaker B: That book says you're never going to hear God in a hurry. When you're in a hurry.
[00:06:54] Speaker C: You can't.
[00:06:55] Speaker B: You'll never hear God when you're in a hurry.
[00:06:58] Speaker C: I love, I. I love the Scriptures in general because for me, whenever I feel like doubt starts to creep in, Scripture comes alive in my life. Because if we don't have that, I love David said in, in the Word, he says, thy word have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against thee. And what's powerful about that is that we have to have the Word of God in our heart. It's got to be hidden within the deepest parts of us, right? And so when things, when doubts like that come up, we have to declare scripture like this. I am more than a conqueror. Through Jesus Christ, no weapon formed against me shall prosper. If God is for us, then who can be against us? Thanks be to God who always causes us to triumph. The Word of God, when spoken in the midst of any situation, good, bad or ugly, always brings life and breathes life into that circumstance.
[00:07:53] Speaker B: We want to fight this fight with the wrong ammunition. We want to fight this fight with our emotions, with our feelings, with what we think is right, our perception of, of morality. But you know when you start meditating in the Word and declaring the Word now you've activated and you're starting to fight with divine ammunition because now you're starting to fight with the weapon that Jesus used against Satan when he was tempted, right? Jesus didn't tell him, hey, Jesus didn't declare. Jesus didn't prophesy. No, he claimed he. He spoke the Word each time he was tempted. He used divine ammunition.
Right? And, and so the enemy hates the Word because it exposes him. That's right. So you got to keep that Word in your mouth. Like, like. Like the verse said, declare it daily. Daily. Meditate on it, and let it become the weapon of your faith. Amen.
[00:08:56] Speaker A: Oh, that's so awesome. That just gives you a reminder of his promises to you, of the person that meditates in the Lord. Those are promises so that you can use them against the enemy. Right? So our second point today is the do not grow tired and Galatians 6, 9. And encourage us, and let us not be weary in well doing, for in due season we will reap if we faint not. This acquires a lot of patience, which sometimes we don't have. But the word itself is telling you, don't rush it, get it, put it in, chew it up, apply it to your life, and then it'll work for you. I know some of you are feeling exhausted, mentally, physically and spiritually. But I declare today, don't grow weary. Your season of breakthrough is coming. What do you think about that, Bishop?
[00:09:52] Speaker B: Amen. But listen, our theme today is to push through.
So everything we're saying today, from the story of the boy up to declaring scriptures, these are tips. These are ways that you can push through. Deacon Eliu just said your reality, you're probably exhausted. You probably feel like you've been at this for so long, and so you gotta meditate in the Word. That was our first piece of advice. And our second piece of advice is to don't grow weary.
Don't grow weary.
There's a difference between being tired and being weary, right? Think about Job. He had to.
Man, talk about a dude that endured suffering, loss and spiritual attack. Yeah, he didn't give up.
He was tired, he was sick, but he didn't give up. This weary is to give up. What we're saying is you might be perfectly justified in feeling exhausted. Just don't give up.
[00:10:49] Speaker C: It's so interesting, the story of Job, because many people don't make it all the way through the story of Job.
And it's funny because he does get to a place where he starts feeling a little discouraged, right? He hasn't ever reached a place of give up. But he does say things like, oh, the day that I was born, right? But it's funny because the same people that were encouraged by him who didn't have that kind of faith were then the people to look back and be like, hey, Job, you were the guy that said that you wouldn't. That we're not going to do that. Let me tell you something. Not giving up sometimes also has to do with the people that you have around you.
Because there are going to be moments where you feel tired, but the people you surround yourself with will determine how far it is that you can go in that. And yes, we're not saying that God himself, that Christ himself isn't enough. But, man, I'm going to tell you what. There have been so many times I can remember in my walk, in our walk, where if it hadn't been for just that one little phone call of encouragement, of love, of, hey, you got way more in there than you think that's in that tank who you surround yourself with, it can be a game changer. And even just really quick, the word do not grow tired. To me, when I heard Deacon say that, the first thing I heard was, you gotta trust God. That's right, trust God with your process. Because when you feel like it's not happening or it's taking longer than expected, if you know God is instructing you, and if you're walking by the spirit of God, then all you need to know is who's guiding you. Not. Not exactly how far or how wide you're going. If you trust in the Lord, you will have the strength to continue because you know who's leading.
[00:12:31] Speaker B: Amen.
[00:12:32] Speaker D: And we continue to declare today over your life.
[00:12:35] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:12:36] Speaker D: That your harvest is near.
[00:12:38] Speaker A: Oh, yeah.
[00:12:38] Speaker D: Keep pressing, keep praying, keep believing. The enemy wants you to give up, but God is saying, hold on, your breakthrough is just around the corner. Maybe push is not the word you need right now, but it's the word that's gonna help you to push through that situation that you're thinking it's your end. And one of the things that helps me sometimes when I feel like giving up, I go back to the times that God pulled me out of a situation and I remember and I keep. And I keep going back and I'm like, hold on. He pulled me out of that. He pulled me out of that and that and that. Why wouldn't he do it on this situation?
So find strength on that for you to keep pushing forward.
[00:13:22] Speaker A: Man, that just reminds me of when we probably talked about it in our other podcast. But that reminds me of the woman with the flow of blood. She didn't give up. All she knew is that if I can just grab and touch on to his garment, her faith was like, I know I could be healed. Maybe the doctors are saying to you that you can't be healed, but I know one who can heal you. I know the one that can that makes miracles happen. He is a miracle worker and he's a promise keeper. All you got to do is push through. Don't grow weary and reach. Grab onto his garment, and God can heal you today.
[00:13:58] Speaker C: Well, the power in that, if you think about it, really, is we kind of get stuck to the story and what happened in that day and in that moment where we Forget about the 12 years she suffered with it. It takes patience.
It takes patience to wait on the Lord. Even the scripture that says, wait on the Lord and he'll remove your strength.
It's not a promise that it's happening at the moment. Those who wait, you wait and are patient, right? And so Hebrews 10:36 reminds us. It says, for ye have need of patience, that after you have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. So after the work has been done, I think too many of us have been hanging on to the promise so much that we forget about it happens. It comes after the work. And so that whole idea of number two, which is, do not grow weary or do not grow tired, learn how to be inspired by the tired.
I think we have to learn how to be in the work with our hands to the plow and know that, man, you know, every step of the way, I'm getting towards that finish line. Man, I hate shoveling snow. Anybody loves shoveling snow. No, I hate shoveling snow. But it's funny, because the moment I start is the worst moment. But as I shovel and as I see progress, it doesn't matter to me how much is left. What matters to me is what I know I accomplished. And every single time I look at that, I go, you know what if I can just be patient? And I just go a little bit more, a little bit more, a little bit more. It reminds me of that. That scene in Facing the Giants. He's like, come on, stairs, carrier.
[00:15:31] Speaker B: Keep on going.
[00:15:33] Speaker C: And he just wouldn't let him stop. And you know what? If you're being led by the Spirit, you're going to start hearing a voice like that in the midst of your. Of you're tired, in the midst of your waiting, you're going to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit tell you, keep on going. You're almost there. And it will inspire you to keep going all the way to the promise.
[00:15:51] Speaker A: It's something about that process that you can listen. The process is going to take you to a place where you start to gather strength. You think you can, but as long as you keep pushing through. And then when you look back and you see how much it took and what happened, and you got to the place where God wanted to you there is the victory because you didn't, didn't give up. So that takes me to my point.
[00:16:15] Speaker B: 3.
[00:16:17] Speaker A: Contentment and strength in Christ.
Wow. Philippians 4, 12, 13 reveal Paul's secret.
I know both how to be abased and I know how to abound everywhere and in all things. I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and. And to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ, which strengthens me. Isn't that amazing that when you don't have it but you believe it, God gives you the strength to push through it? I love this story because Paul is talking about everything that's happened to him. But at the end he goes, but I don't feel tired.
Because he knows what his mission is and it's to accomplish the will and the purpose of God. And in that he grows strength. He doesn't look at his faith physical problem. He looks at the strength that God gives him to push through.
[00:17:15] Speaker C: That's good.
[00:17:16] Speaker B: The, the, the secret to Paul's success is that he can serve. What he's saying there is I'm going to serve God when I have a lot and when I have a.
When I'm feeling good and when I'm feeling not good.
Really what he's saying is I can do all things. In other words, no matter what situation, I can do it all. I can do it with much, I can do it with little. A lot of us like to just take piece of that verse and make it I can do all things. So I can go to work and yes, you can, but let's use it in context. What he's saying is in any situation, I can do it through Christ.
That's what he's saying. I am strong when I don't have money, when I have money, when I'm rich, when I'm poor, when I'm healthy, when I am rich, all of these things.
I can do it through Christ who strengthened me.
[00:18:09] Speaker D: That's right.
Whatever you need, financially, emotionally, spiritually, you can draw that strength from Jesus. When you are weak, he is strong.
When you feel like giving up, lean on the power of Jesus. Because he has that unlimited. He's the unlimited source. And every time we go to the Source, he will give us what we need, the strength we need in every area of our lives.
But it does require us to push.
[00:18:38] Speaker C: Jesus truly is our everlasting source of strength. I think that when I think about to abase and to abound, to have and to not have, it causes me to pause because when you were reading it, I paused for each portion and I said, I know what it is to not have.
I just don't think that a lot of people in the faith currently understand how to live in the not have or in the abased in the faith. For some reason, our definition of God is good and God is working is only when we have and when he takes us out, God is still all of those things when he chooses not.
[00:19:16] Speaker B: By the way, that's a very distinctly American approach to God.
[00:19:21] Speaker C: Absolutely.
[00:19:21] Speaker B: You go to different places of the world and they know what this.
They know what it means to find and to be and to have joy, because most of the time they don't. As a matter of fact, he's all they have.
[00:19:36] Speaker A: That's right.
[00:19:37] Speaker C: That's it. And to be able to understand that. I believe truly, guys, if you're watching this, I believe truly. If you are in a moment where you feel like, man, why is bad thing after bad thing after bad thing after bad thing keep happening? First of all, I don't think you completely understand what bad looks like. I don't think any of us does fully if we compare ourselves to people in different places of the world. But at the same time, I think we simply just need to reidentify what it means to be blessed.
And it's exactly what Bishop just said. To truly be blessed is to understand that you have Christ in all things. And I know that that sounds rudimentary in the faith. That sounds small. Why? Because to us it's. I know I have God because, look, he's taken me from nothing and now I have riches. He's taken me from this, and now I have that. But we can't always define it by the that and by the tomorrow. Today he is enough all in itself without extra.
[00:20:37] Speaker B: And that's the thing that he said to me years ago. I was complaining I didn't have enough money, my job wasn't giving me everything. And I'm complaining, I'm complaining, I'm complaining. And in prayer, I kind of heard this impression. This voice came to me and says, herson, when will I be enough?
When will I be enough for you?
[00:21:00] Speaker D: Did you fall back?
[00:21:01] Speaker B: It hurt, bro.
It hurt because I thought, that's powerful. I thought he was, but. But my prayer that day was telling him he wasn't.
The way I cried out, the way I. I insisted that. That he had abandoned me. That, that. That he. That he wasn't blessing me. Like my minister just said, we have this idea that if we're not Being blessed. God's not blessing us. That, that. That.
[00:21:29] Speaker C: Even. Even, you know, I. I am the head and not the tail. I am. We declare these things as. As if that only means I'm the boss of the business, I'm the CEO, I'm the pastor, or I'm the, you know, highest place, highest seat, chairman. Like, that's the only definition for us.
Or at least as I grew up, I just remember always being taught that's what it means to have the blessing of the Lord. And I'm like, there's something in me today after what I've been through in my life.
And I just love having these table talks because when I get to just talk about how good God has been, I truly get to go.
No, but if he did nothing else, he really is just.
[00:22:10] Speaker B: He's already done enough.
[00:22:12] Speaker C: So we got to remember how I think. Take a pause. Take a pause for just a second. And I want you to just stop thinking about all your goals. Stop thinking about everything that you're looking for. Stop. Stop for a moment. I'm not saying that God's not going to continue to bless you in this life, but I think you got to stop and take a quick moment and just say, lord, if nothing else, you yourself are enough for me.
[00:22:36] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:22:36] Speaker C: That will change your life. I'm telling you. You will find yourself content.
[00:22:41] Speaker A: Oh, my God.
[00:22:41] Speaker B: My goodness.
[00:22:42] Speaker A: Hallelujah to that which bring us to point 4.
Bring every thought under subjection. Wow, this is good. 2nd Corinthians 10:5 teaches us to take control of our mind, casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God and bringing it into captivity and every thought into the obedience of Christ.
This is the big picture here, because sometimes I know there's some of you out there, that your mind is racing all over the place.
And the power of this is that God says, take it all. Take it all. Bring it to control. That's why it says he didn't give you the spirit of fear, but of a sound mind of power and love. Bring it all into captivity and bring it to the obedience of God. Because the one that will take it away is God. He's the only one that can take all those thoughts out of your mind and bring it right back to Him.
[00:23:44] Speaker B: The battleground is in your mind.
That's where the battle is fought.
It's won and lost right there in your mind.
What you believe, according to what you believe, it shall be done right.
Negative thoughts, fear, doubt, they all come to steal your peace.
And your faith.
That's what the enemy's up to. He's trying to get you to quit. He's trying to get you to just throw in the towel. He's trying to do everything he can to get you to blame God for all your problems. He's trying to get you to just look at life and say, I just can't do it anymore. I quit. I've had enough.
There's so many of us say, I just can't.
And we keep saying these things because our mind is. We're just losing the battle of our mind.
But God has given us authority to cast down thoughts and bring down thoughts into the obedience of Christ. Hear what I'm saying. Listen what the Word says here. The Word says that he's given you authority to take those imaginations, these negative things, the fear, the doubt, and bring them down.
You can bring them down by taking spiritual authority and saying, no, it can't. This, this negative, this negativity cannot elevate itself over God in my life.
So if it's over who God is in your life, you have permission, you have the authority to cast it down in Jesus name.
[00:25:18] Speaker A: Oh, glory to God.
[00:25:19] Speaker D: Proverbs 23:7 says that as a man thinked in his heart, so is he, so is he. So your thoughts shape your reality, shape your life, shape your mind.
What are you thinking about today? Because what you're thinking today is what you are seeing.
It becomes your life. So today you need to take control.
We're saying it with an authority because it takes authority to do it. Your mind needs the authority of the word of God.
[00:25:48] Speaker B: Yes, sir.
[00:25:49] Speaker D: So it can start shaping all those other things that are happening in your life.
So today as you listen, you need to start declaring that word over your mind, over your heart, over your home, wherever area that the enemy just.
You feel like you're stuck. That's where you need to start taking authority and just say, I don't want to think the way I'm thinking. I'm going to start thinking the way God is telling me to think. And it will shape everything around you. I'm telling you.
[00:26:16] Speaker A: Amen. So I want you to, for one moment with me, all of you who are listening and watching on this podcast, I want you to declare with me right now, I am a child of God.
[00:26:29] Speaker B: I am a child of God.
[00:26:31] Speaker A: Great is he that is in me that is in the world.
[00:26:36] Speaker B: Greater is he that is in me.
[00:26:38] Speaker C: Than he that is in the world.
[00:26:40] Speaker A: I have the mind of Christ. I have the mind of Christ. This is what you need to do every time these things come in.
Remember the promise of God. Of whom? Who you are. You are his child. You have power to take control of it and you have the power to cast things out. God gave you that power. You have the mind of Christ. Amen.
[00:27:01] Speaker B: God is good.
[00:27:02] Speaker D: Amen.
[00:27:03] Speaker B: I can just see brother Bernell, who's watching this right now, yelling that with us.
Oh, I love Tammy. I can see because she watches every episode.
[00:27:13] Speaker C: Every episode.
[00:27:13] Speaker B: I'm sorry, I forgot your name, Tammy, but.
But I can see. See you declaring this.
[00:27:18] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:27:19] Speaker B: And it's changing you. And I see tears in your eyes because you know that God is doing a work in your life. Oh, I'm so excited for you, T, man.
[00:27:27] Speaker A: That's the one that you say. Stay with your chest. Say it with your chest.
[00:27:30] Speaker C: Remember, your mind is a battlefield, but Jesus is the commander in chief. You have authority to bring every thought into obedience to Christ.
[00:27:40] Speaker D: Amen.
[00:27:40] Speaker A: My goodness.
[00:27:42] Speaker C: Wow.
[00:27:44] Speaker A: I just had to. I. I got. I got caught up in that.
The next number five.
[00:27:51] Speaker B: Hold on, hold on.
He hit menopause. For a minute.
[00:27:58] Speaker A: I just felt the spirit of God in that moment. So I had to take it in. I had to take it in. I had to take it in. All right, number five. The power of praise and worship. Come on now, in the fight.
[00:28:09] Speaker B: Let's go.
[00:28:10] Speaker A: And finally, in the midst of your struggles, don't forget to praise God.
Praise confuses the enemy and ushers in a divine presence of God. Listen, you said two things before. Praise is that shout. It's that, you know, going all in, singing, saying all that, that makes the enemy run. And it's the one thing that the enemy doesn't want you to have is praise.
Right, Bishop? Tell us about that.
[00:28:40] Speaker B: Listen, just think about David versus Goliath. Now, we all know that David didn't run in fear.
David declared victory. And praise God.
Even before the battle was fought.
He said to him, he said, you come to me with your javelin and your spears, but I come against you in the name of the Lord, man. And he looked at him, he said, who are you, you uncircumcised philistine? Come on, now, that's close to cussing in the Bible, you uncircumcised Philistine.
[00:29:18] Speaker C: I'm pretty sure that he said philistine.
[00:29:21] Speaker A: He said it with his chest. He definitely said it with his chest.
[00:29:24] Speaker B: Because he was running on something other than fear. If fear had won the day, David would have tried to wear the king's armor, to feel Safe.
If fear had won the day, David would have never even come up to this opportunity that God gave him. But he did. He did because he understood that the prize that they were offering was consistent with the anointing that he had. Remember, he's anointed to be king. And the prize for the man who kills this giant is the king's daughter.
[00:29:58] Speaker D: That's right.
[00:29:59] Speaker B: That is consistent with the king. I should be marrying a princess if going to be a king.
[00:30:05] Speaker A: Oh, come on.
[00:30:06] Speaker B: The reward matches the fight.
[00:30:08] Speaker C: Come on.
[00:30:09] Speaker B: And so he fought with, with purpose rather than fear.
[00:30:13] Speaker C: Come on.
[00:30:14] Speaker D: When, when spiritual attacks come into, into your life, you need to build an atmosphere of praise. That atmosphere of praise is what's going to shift things around the room, around, around in your life. You have, you have to, to test this. You, you have to, to really experience what we're. Talk for yourself. We experience it every day in our lives, and when we come together, it's a double portion for us. We experience it in a higher dimension. So in your room, in your living room, create that atmosphere. Just start raising your hands, start worshiping and that.
It's like the aroma of heaven just comes down to your home and it strengthens you. It really, it really messes you up in a good way to really just focus and realign your faith, realign your belief in God in such a way that you can just start thinking like an overcomer.
[00:31:23] Speaker C: We have to learn how to praise our way through storms in our lives.
[00:31:28] Speaker A: Amen. This is what I love.
[00:31:29] Speaker C: What I love about praise and worship is if the Bible says that he is seated on the praises of his people, it's because praise is what he knows. Praise is the literal throne room that he is engulfed in. If he's in heaven right now and by his side, they're saying, holy, holy, holy is the Lord God of hosts. Right? He literally sits in a throne room of praise. And so if you want to welcome in the presence of God into a place, you should start with praise, because that's the language of heaven.
[00:32:00] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:32:00] Speaker C: And so I love Psalm 34, 1:3. He says, I will bless the Lord at all times. His praise shall continually be in my mouth. Let me tell you something. This hit me the other day and this thought just came to me that there are people that come to church and hopefully it transitions to not just happening in church, but there are people that are coming to church and they praise God like wild animals, but it's not.
And I mean, I mean, throwing up their hands, screaming, shout and running around the Room. And I know for some people that looks odd, but can I tell something? That person may have not had a breakthrough in a really long time. And what they needed was to run to the throne room of Jesus and throw a shout into the air. And I love this song. Way back in the day it said, I will dance, I will sing to be mad for my king. Nothing, Lord, is hindering this passion in my soul. So I will come even more undignified than this, right? And so this idea of praising through, I don't care what it looks like, if you are in your house and you are by yourself and you're going to your, to your pillow and you're crying and saying, lord, I just don't know what to do. Stop right there and praise the Lord. I mean, you could be in the supermarket, you could be in your school.
Start becoming bold to praise God right where you are. I'm going to tell you something. You're not just going to change the thing that's happening in your life. Somebody by you is going to see you praise God, knowing exactly what you're going through, and they're going to praise God with you. They're going to grab your hand. You guys are both going to lift up your hands and shout unto God with a voice of triumph and praise. The enemy's not even going to know how to touch you next because he thinks to himself, I thought I had him. And then he praised the Lord. Come on now, my God, you gotta praise God. Somebody praise God right here, right now, right now. I need somebody on this, on this video right now. I want you to shout the name of Jesus. I want you to throw your hands up, up high. Maybe you got somebody sitting next to you right now. Your kids or your wife or whoever it is. I dare you to just make it awkward. Who cares? Grab them by the hand, tell them I believe in my God. Shout his name, do what you got to do, but give God a praise right there, right now. You watch some food on them right now in your house right now.
[00:34:16] Speaker A: Glory to God.
[00:34:17] Speaker C: My God is good. Hallelujah.
[00:34:19] Speaker A: Oh my goodness, I feel the Holy Ghost in this place right now, let me tell you.
But I just want to speak now directly to your heart.
Maybe you're facing something that feels impossible, like long standing sickness. I declare healing in the name of Jesus right now. Maybe you're going through a financial drought. I declare prosperity right over you right now in the name of Jesus. Maybe you're facing spiritual warfare. I declare power in the name of Jesus over your Life. And maybe you are emotional and exhausted. And I declare strength in the name of Jesus right now. While you're there, believe it. Take it in, lift up your hands and say, God's got me.
[00:35:04] Speaker B: Come on.
Yeah. You got to remember, our God specializes in the impossible.
That's his specialty. You might be looking at the impossible right now. Or maybe you gave up. Maybe you walked away from God and somehow you stumbled upon this podcast and you stayed long enough just to hear this. Nothing is too hard for God.
[00:35:27] Speaker C: Nothing.
[00:35:27] Speaker A: Nothing.
[00:35:28] Speaker B: And when you feel like giving up, look at the story of, of the boy on the roof.
Trust that your heavenly father sees you and he's calling your name. He's calling you to take a leap of faith.
Trust him. He's going to catch you. He's not going to let you down.
[00:35:46] Speaker C: And I want to remind you that your faith, it's not just feelings, it's not just neurons in your brain firing. It's a divine weapon. It's the evidence of things hoped for, the substance of things not seen. Use your faith to push through every barrier. Don't use it for some. Don't use it when you think it's applicable. It's applicable every time. Use it to break through every single barrier.
[00:36:11] Speaker D: Write down the promises of God.
Keep declaring them daily. Speak. Speak them over your life, your family, your finances, your health. And let God's word be your shield and your sword every single day.
[00:36:24] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:36:25] Speaker D: And you will see that God that specializes in impossible. I don't think God would do anything if it's not impossible.
He only does the impossible. He wouldn't do anything else.
[00:36:38] Speaker B: And I don't want you to forget that, that you're not alone. And you ought not be doing this alone. If you are in a silo, if you are by yourself, I kind of get why you would feel so weak. Because it's not good for man to be alone. You ought not be alone. You need community.
Because community provides a bunch of stuff.
It provides encouragement, it provides, you know, accountability, that accountability. But, but it's going to give you what you need.
Surround yourself with faith filled people. Listen, I'm not telling you to walk away from all your friends that aren't believers. Listen, they need to stay connected to, you know, stay close to them. But you be close to the people that you know who are walking this thing out.
People that can pray with you, people that can stand with you during your toughest times.
From a faith perspective, we weren't meant.
[00:37:40] Speaker A: To walk in this journey alone.
When your faith feels faint, Lean on brothers and sisters in Christ.
Pray together, encourage one another, and declare victory together.
That's how you push through. If you look at Jesus, Jesus, even Jesus didn't walk alone on the earth. He didn't. The only time he was alone, when he was praying to the Father for instruction. But most of the time, every.
Every one of them walked in twos. They went together. Nobody was alone. There's a reason for that. What's that? Verse two is better than one, and three chords cannot be broken. There's a reason why you don't walk alone, because you, by yourself, don't have the strength sometimes to get through it. But if you have somebody else to lift you up, even in the times where you're having a tough time, boy, let me tell you, that encouragement will give you some inspiration, and it'll light a fire under you that'll help you to grow.
[00:38:34] Speaker B: And it's for every single person, because the enemy hates unity, because that's where God's power is revealed most strongly, wherever there are two or three gathered in my name. Right? So don't isolate yourself if you don't want to. If you want to push, you're going to want to find somebody to like the Philadelphia Eagles.
They got that push, boy, and the defense knows it's coming.
They practiced all week because they knew they were going to play them. But why can't they stop it?
Because there is such unity in that play. Those players get so close together and push together. Okay?
[00:39:22] Speaker A: Point six. The power of praise and worship in the fight. Pastor Axel, tell us about that.
[00:39:28] Speaker D: Praise is not just a response. It's a weapon.
[00:39:31] Speaker B: Come on, come on.
[00:39:32] Speaker D: And just like every weapon, if you learn how to use it, you will see victory through it. And the weapon of praise, when you lift up your voice and praise and you start declaring victory over the battle before the battle is over, you're shifting the atmosphere from defeat to victory.
And that's why you know it's one of those weapons that if you learn how to use it in your daily life, not just on a Sunday, because it works on Sunday, but it works on Monday.
Come on. It works on Monday and Tuesday and Wednesday and every single day. And when you learn how to use it, you will not stop using it.
[00:40:14] Speaker B: Praise isn't just for the good times. We just alluded to it.
Praise is what sustains us during the hardest battles. Don't give up your praise when you need it most. And oddly enough, you give up on praise when you need it most, because that's the time you feel least like you want to praise. Who wants to praise when they're hurt? Nobody. It's not natural. It's not going to flow.
Not unless you really are connected to the spirit. Right. You may have to get yourself into. You may have to talk yourself into a praise, because sometimes, and it might be most needed when you are hurting the most.
[00:40:56] Speaker A: Yeah. Praise is what makes the demons flee.
David. Saul was had a lot of demons and David praised. And those demons said, see you later. Bye. I'm out of here because of the power of God.
[00:41:10] Speaker B: So what did he say?
[00:41:12] Speaker C: I'm out of here.
[00:41:15] Speaker B: Nope, I don't want that.
[00:41:16] Speaker C: I'm out.
[00:41:17] Speaker A: Peace.
The heart of the message is push through in faith. Right? So today I want to leave you with this. No matter how fierce the storm, no matter how impossible the situation, you have a God who sees you.
[00:41:35] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:41:36] Speaker A: He'll call you to leap in faith. Trust in him to catch you.
What do you think, Bishop?
[00:41:44] Speaker B: You know, I love that Martin Luther King Jr. Says faith is taking a step when you don't see the full staircase.
Right. Faith is not about seeing the whole staircase.
It's about taking that first step when God says go.
And when you step out in faith, he's going to meet you there.
[00:42:05] Speaker C: I want to remind every single person that's watching right now, and if not remind you, just let you know that your breakthrough is on the horizon. The thing that God is, has promised you is right around the corner. I want you to just stay on track, stay the course.
I want you to be the one that can repeat what we've heard said through the word that I have finished the race. I have kept the faith. Right. I want you to be able to say that at some point, but the only way you can do that is you keep that praise on your lips all throughout your life.
You can get really frustrated that the promise isn't here, or you can get really excited that at least there's a promise with your name on it. Come on.
[00:42:48] Speaker A: Oh, my God.
[00:42:49] Speaker C: I want you to focus on that right now and be encouraged by it. There is a promise with your name on it, and God always comes through with his word.
[00:42:57] Speaker B: Amen.
[00:42:58] Speaker D: Remember, faith that pushes through is faith that believes God is bigger than any problem.
Our heavenly Father is victorious and his victory is yours through Jesus Christ.
[00:43:12] Speaker A: Amen. Let me encourage you today, so I want to challenge each of you listening today.
Decide right now. No matter what you face, you will push through.
You will not give up. You will stand on the promise of God and declare victory is mine, victory is mine.
[00:43:33] Speaker C: And surround yourself with faith filled believers who will help you push through.
Remember that you are not alone. Get somebody by you that when you feel like you can't praise, they'll grab you by the hand, they'll praise with you. They'll go into the pit, wherever it is that you are and they'll live it out with you. You need those people in your life.
[00:43:50] Speaker A: I want to close today in prayer and you know, if you want repeat it with me today all together, let's pray this prayer. Let's say, Father, we thank you today for your word that has stirred our faith and renewed our strength.
We declare that we will push through every trial because you are our strength and our shield and our victory. We trust you to catch us when we leap in faith. We declare victory in every area, spiritually, emotionally, physically, financially. Strengthen us to stand firm and to declare your promises and to promise. I mean to praise you in the midst of every storm.
We believe that our breakthrough is on the way. Hallelujah. In Jesus mighty name we pray. All together we say Amen. Amen.
